Spending a lot of time in the outdoors gives one an opportunity for some special experiences. Erich uses many of his experiences as inspiration for his painting, whether its catching a rare glimpse of a moose while fly-fishing, or a Black Bear looking in the living room window. He also enjoys doing "Pet Portraits" especially dogs, and capturing their individual personalities. Here are a few examples:
